With a lot of luck on our side, last weekend’s shoot with Karen & Ben went down as one of my favourite Toronto engagement sessions thus far.
To start the afternoon off, we escaped a poorly-timed downpour in Yorkville when we were fortunate enough to be able to take some photos inside Sassafraz, the site of Ben’s proposal to Karen as well as one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. We took full advantage of the gorgeous interior & natural skylight in Sassafraz’s dining room before taking a nice break to some tea/coffee. By the time we looked over some of the photos, the sun broke through the clouds & we were able to continue the second part of the engagement shoot at High Park.
While they thought they’d be awkward at the beginning of our shoot, both Karen & Ben were amazing to photograph through the entire afternoon, quickly becoming at ease in front of the camera & making my job easy – congratulations + see you on your wedding day! =)
